Enthiran review

I watched enthiran on the 4th day of its release. This movie is easily the best movie of the year, no wonder why its hyped so much and unlike its predecessors Raavan and Kites this movie has really lived upto its hype. In fact the movie has lived more than its hype. The movie is an intelligent amalgamation of Science and the Masala. The reason why this movie cannot be a terminator or transporter because the Viewership or the target audience is limited to tamil cinema. So it has to expand its wing to cater all groups of the tamil society. Any Ramesh, Suresh or Gopi will watch the Terminator but John or Nicholas or Steve will not have the same urge to watch enthiran. I cannot even imagine if there is any other actor who could have shouldered the entire movie like what Rajni did in this. One of the few directors who have explored Rajni's acting skills completely is Shankar. Aishwarya is so beautiful, but she is just a doll in the movie. Nothing can be said about the graphics or effects as world’s top professionals were engaged. I feel Sujatha should have been given more credits than just name on the credits. Am sure Shankar will certainly miss him in his future projects. Music just fits in. Nothing great or ever green.

Individual performances :

Rajni rocks throughout the movie in his acting. The Villain role reminds him of his older movies like Netrikann and he has given a new dimension to Villain role. Rajni proves he is a great actor once again.

Diaglogues are crispy and intelligent, especially in scenes where the policeman asks the address and the chitti gives him the ip address and also when he answers to the questions posed when Chitti is introduced to the forum. Sujatha! simply great.

Lyrics of the songs are more than good. Music is sufficient, but nothing great. Shankar deserves all the kudos for making such a brilliant movie. His dedication and hard work is simply outstanding. Camera work is simply fresh and neat.
